Biography

Mr. Larry Shafer served as City Commissioner for Ward 3 of the City of Collinsville for 8 years. He was elected to the office of Mayor in the February 11, 2020 election. 

Larry is a long-time resident of the city and has served as served the city on the Park Board, City Planning Committees, and the Chamber of Commerce.

Larry is very active in the community serving on church, non-profits and other boards. He is a dedicated husband, father and grandfather.

Education

Mr. Shafer holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting with more than forty years in the financial industry. He supports the growth of Collinsville and his financial background helps ensure fiscally responsible decisions that will help the city continue to flourish.
