The City of Collinsville is gearing up for the biggest Independence Day Celebration yet! The day will start with a parade of red, white, and blue down Main Street for the Independence Day Celebration Parade beginning at 9:00 in the morning.

After the parade later in the afternoon, the festivities will move over to the Collinsville City Park where we'll have food trucks galore, face painting, the annual turtle races, watermelon seed spitting contest and many more fun family activities.

The OC Beach Volleyball Club will be holding a USAV Juniors Beach VB Tournament at the event beginning in the morning and continuing throughout the day.

The traditional Independence Day Celebration Turtle Races will take place at 4:30 at the Turtle Area near the Volleyball Courts. Start training those turtles to be a part of the winning team!

The Collinsville Masonic Lodge #165 will be hosting a Horseshoe Tournament in the evening so starting practicing your pitch to be named the Independence Day Celebration Horseshoe Champion! Details coming about another horseshoe contest to win some money!

We'll have the Roy Weather Band performing live on stage! Roy Weathers is a local performer from right here in Collinsville. The Roy Weathers Band puts on a fantastic show that you don't want to miss!

Enter the Big Freeze frozen shirt contest for a fast cool off when it's hot. Contestants will have to thaw out their frozen shirts and the first one to get it on will be the winner!

The City of Collinsville will be passing our FREE watermelon at the event and it doesn't get anymore small town America than that! Along with the FREE watermelon will be the watermelon seed spitting contest. That's sure to draw a crowd.

When the sun goes down you'll be on the edge of your seat as the City of Collinsville puts on one of the best fireworks displays in Green Country. Choreographed to the sound of patriotic music blasting from the stage you won't be disappointed you came. Collinsville continues to grow this event and this year's event is sure to out show them all!
