Pam Polk


Pamela Polk began as city manager in the City of Collinsville in July 2005. Polk began her municipal career in 1996 serving as city clerk for the City of Mangum, Oklahoma, becoming city manager there in 2002.


Accomplishments

Ms. Polk received the prestigious Gerald Wilkins Award for city manager of the year in 2017, making Oklahoma history as the first female recipient.  In 2022 she was recognized as Woman of the Year by the Oklahoma Municipal League Women in Municipal Government. She is also the first, and only, female city manager in Oklahoma to hold the International City/County Management Association's certified city manager accreditation.


Community Service

Polk currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for the Oklahoma Municipal League.  She is the first female to serve as president in the history of the organization.  Pam also serves on the Oklahoma Municipal Assurance Group Board of Directors.  She participates in and is past president of the City Management Association of Oklahoma and the Municipal Electric Systems of Oklahoma.

Ms. Polk has successfully obtained $45 million in grant funding for the city since 2005. Her administration has contributed to the completion of many infrastructure improvements and quality-of-life projects for the city.

In addition to her municipal work, Ms. Polk is involved in the Chamber of Commerce, and serves on the Senior Citizens board, the local chapter of the General Federation of Women's Clubs, and the Auxiliary for the VFW. She is also the executive director of the Miss Collinsville Scholarship Competition.  


Education

Ms. Polk earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Management from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and a Master's Degree in Administration also from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

Pam loves to travel and spend time with family and friends.
